Pipeline Pre-Commissioning

Pipeline descaling involves the removal of hard calcium and wax deposits from pipelines to restore the original flow rate, facilitate inspection tool access for pipeline integrity assessment, and reduce overall operating costs. At Zymetech Global, we use specialized scrapers that pulverize hard calcium deposits without disrupting fluid flow.

At Zymetech Global, we provide our customers with professional technicians to perform hydrostatic tests. We supply all the necessary equipment to prove, clean, fill, and test the pipeline. Additionally, we provide compressors, dryers, and pigs to dewater and dry the line efficiently.

After a successful hydrostatic test, it is crucial to remove water from the pipeline before introducing the product. While sometimes the water is displaced directly by the product, it is often removed separately through dewatering with air, especially when complete drying is required.

Before pipelines are put into service, they must be thoroughly dried to meet stringent regulations. Any residual moisture can cause significant issues, such as the formation of hydrates, which can constrict the pipe cross-section and potentially block small diameter branches. Therefore, a comprehensive drying process is essential to ensure pipeline integrity and functionality.

Nitrogen purging involves replacing an undesired atmosphere with inert nitrogen gas. During the commissioning of a process plant, this process, known as “oxygen freeing” or “start-up purging,” involves replacing air with nitrogen. Conversely, during a turnaround, “degassing” or “shutdown purging” replaces a hydrocarbon atmosphere with nitrogen.

The presence of internal scale and its removal is a major challenge in process systems and their ancillary equipment. Zymetech Global is proactively collaborating with its customers to find effective solutions. The industry now emphasizes longer intervals between cleaning and maintenance, which necessitates the development of improved chemicals and methods.

The range of services includes pressure tests, pumping, organization of intelligent pigging, chemical and mechanical cleaning of pipelines, caliper pigging, and drying.

Nitrogen Generation Unit - With capabilities to supply nitrogen at purities of 90% ‐ 99.9% with a wide range of flows ranging from 100 scfm – 30,000 scfm at pressures from 100 psig – 5,000 psig with Boosters.

Mobile Units

With capabilities to supply nitrogen at purities of 90% ‐ 99% with a wide range of flows ranging from 100 scfm – 3500 scfm at pressures from 100 psig – 5,000 psig with Boosters.

Air Compressor

With capabilities to produce flows from 100 scfm up to 1525 scfm at pressures ranging from 100 psig to 500 psig.

Booster Compressor

With capabilities up to 12,000 psig

Gensets

Ranging in size from 75 – 200 kW

Foam Units

With capabilities of flows from 1200 SCFM‐1500 SCFM and pressures up to 2500 psig.
